The Body Shop Haul

I recently took a trip to The Body Shop to stock up on some of my favourite products! I shop at The Body Shop quite regularly and I’m a big fan of their products, and it’s a bonus that they are against animal testing and support community fair trade.

The first product is something that I have been using for the past few months, and now that it’s in my life I often wonder how I ever survived without it. It’s the Hemp Hand Protector cream and it’s absolutely amazing! I used to have very dry and rough skin on my hands, and went into The Body Shop to speak to one of their members of staff to see if they could help me. They immediately pointed me in the direction of this hand cream and I haven’t looked back since. At £11.00 for a 100ml it may seem pricey compared to some creams, but you need such a small amount of cream each time that it lasts for months! I used this cream everyday (usually two or three times a day) and a 100ml tube lasted me over three months. If you have sore and dry skin, I promise you this is the answer! There is a smaller 30ml tube that you can buy for £5.00 if you want to give it a trial run first.

Next up is the Tea Tree Face Mask. This is also £11.00 for a 100ml pot, and when you first look at it you will think it’s tiny! However this is the great thing about The Body Shop products; a little really does go a long way! I’m quite lucky that I have never really suffered severely with acne, however like everyone I do get the occasional spot. This face mask is great as it is designed to be used for blemishes, so it is perfectly fine for using whilst you have less-than-clear skin! I love the smell of Tea Tree so obviously this face mask is a winner for me; it is very soothing and stays quite soft when applied to the skin rather than a clay type mask which would harden over time. Leave it on for 10 minutes and when you rinse it off your face will feel refreshed I usually use this face mask once or twice a week in the evenings, and apply the Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion straight after. This works well with the face mask and within 24 hours you’ll notice that redness and blemishes have greatly reduced.

I also picked up something that I’ve never used before! I’m trying to make sure that my skin is in a really good condition, especially now it is getting a bit colder as I get quite dry skin in the winter months. I bought the Body Brush Round for £8.00 to exfoliate and massage my skin when showering. It is designed really well and is easy to use. The handle is really helpful during use and allows you to easily massage the skin with varied pressure. I noticed a huge improvement in my skin after just a couple of uses; it is now smooth and glowing. I wish it wasn’t getting so cold now as I want to show off my legs!

If you’ve never shopped at The Body Shop I highly recommend them! Their products are fantastic and the staff are so helpful with any questions you may have. They also offer The Body Shop At Home which is where you can have a consultant come to your house and demonstrate a range of products for you and your friends. Its great excuse to get the girls round for a pamper night in and you’ll get some amazing discounts on the evening. Give it a go!
